Hi
I always keep my Defenders as original as possible. I would keep the XS seats, but that just my thoughts. Jim Last edited by jim4244 on 4th Aug 2023 8:12am. Edited 1 time in total |

Stick with the XS seats, those racing style seats really do not suit a Defender in my opinion.
I generally prefer standard vehicles though so would say this. 2004 Defender 90 Td5 CSW 2002 Discovery 2 td5 GS (gone) 1994 Defender 90 300Tdi CSW (gone) |

I prefer the standard ones, so will most others if you choose to sell it!

Keep the XS seats, in my view those sports car type seats are so incongruous in a Defender

Very much in agreement with everyone above: those ‘racing’ seats are an aesthetic step backward.

I'm biased. Keep the original seats but get them recovered in top grade leather from LRI

Another example in professionally covered full leather seats. These were originally just like your XS seats.

Again as the majority on here - stay with the original ones as far as possible.
ours are the XS half leather seats with integrated head rests, and have been well used, and we have just done a 4200 mile trip in 15 days to Scandinavia and back, and had no issues with the seating. Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 |

Late to the thread, but "... those racing style seats really do not suit a Defender in my opinion" is one of the most diplomatic things I've read.
Racing style seats in a truck look as incongruous - and downright silly - as Defender seats would look in a Lamborghini. Peter |
