Tdi tuning box
Has anyone fitted one ? I know there’s the insurance risk etc etc but am just curious to whether they’re any good and how they actually work, they obviously don’t work as a remap so is it the parameters that are altered? I have a d300 which goes like stink but an extra 80bhp for £300 sounds too good to be true so it probably is.

I am sure others will disagree but imho a tuning box is not worth the effort to say let alone fit one to a car.

Whilst I am all for tuning a vehicle by the correct method such as rewriting the ECU simply plugging in a box to trick the ECU to inject more fuel to gain power is the wrong way to do it and the damage it can cause could be very expensive!

Yeah me too but the beauty is they’re removable without trace, if I were to remap a new engine the warranty wouldn’t stand.
