Alarm beep

Hi, is it normal for the alarm to beep twice when arming it? It’s a 1999 td5 90. No central locking.

If it’s normal is there a way to stop the beep as the shifts I work isn’t really appropriate to use the alarm!

2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Santorini Black

this happens when the alarm thinks one of the doors or bonnet is open, i suspect you have a faulty or worn door / bonnet plunger switch
