Driving a Defender without licence (wedding gift)

Hi everyone!

I am going to marry in october and my wife-to-be is a huuuuuge Defender-fan. I wanted to give her an offroad-Defender-experience as a wedding gift but unfortunately this is only possible with a driver´s licence (which she does not have but she can drive automatic transmission without any problems).

Does any of you know a possibility how to make that happen even without a licence?
Or: would any of you Defender-owners be willing (of course I would pay for it!) to make this possible with your own Defender on private ground?

I would advise that you contact the experience companies directly and explain your request/query

For example I believe Bala 4x4 only uses private land and as such might have their own regulations.

I tried that with several companies which offer 4x4 experiences and the answer remains always the same: you have to have a valid licence (also the company you are referring to says that on their website

) even if it´s taking place on private land.

Just buy her a Defender and some driving lessons?

You'll be aware the vast majority of classic Defenders are manual, finding an automatic version may be difficult, unless you're talking about the new Defender, in which case no problem.
