1986 Defender 90 2.5 n/a Diesel PU Buckingham Blue

'86 Soft Top

Well here she is..

Its taken a few years, but the rebuild is finally complete. This site has been a bible at times, so I thought it is only fair to share the finished article. She's an '86 LR90 that began its life on a farm and was pretty moribund before i started. Apart from the recon gearbox (Ashcroft), everything has been done by myself:

- New rear quarter chassis
- Fully rebuilt engine
- Fully rebuilt transfer box
- All original body work (apart from new door skins)
- Galvanised Bulkhead
- 2 Inch lift
- Wolf Wheels
- 265/75/R16 Open Country MT
- Fully re-wired (now with push button start)
- All Wheel Trim Soft top
- Fully restored interior (seats/ dash all re-covered)
- Exmoor seatbelt bar
- LED lights all round

Oh, and an MOT cleaner than a Vicar.

Im hoping to upload the full process in due course as this place has helped me so much, but here are a few teasers....
