Hi folks,
just gauging interest at the moment... I potentially have a pair of Scheelmann Sportline seats for sale, complete with armrests and runners, in the same fabric as shown below. The question is, what would they be worth and would people be interested in them (especially at xmas!)? They're in great condition, with only slight wear to the seat base on the driver's side. Any suggestions gratefully received. Ross The Scotia Winch Challenge |

Ok, so far I've had 2 PM's from people looking for a price... well, that doesn't help because I haven't a clue!
So c'mon folks, help me out here. I don't care if you don't want to but them, but at least give me a steer towards price, please.... Ross The Scotia Winch Challenge |

ah, you must be the brains of the operation then... what gave it away, was it the part where I said the seats were potentially for sale? Damn, I knew I should have been more subtle....
Anyway, you were one of the people who PM'd me for a price! Thanks for not replying to me by the way, you must have been too busy dreaming up some more smug comments to make on people's posts... And as for the winch, I did indeed buy it and then have to sell it as circumstances changed. If you could just point me to where in the forum rules it states that I cant do that...? People like you epitomise everything that is wrong with forums. Merry Christmas. Ross The Scotia Winch Challenge |

Ross,
To list in this forum you must give a price, or guide price, in order to comply with the rules. I know you're looking for what they are worth, but this is not the right place to do that. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Ross - to get this started, why don't you start with a price around 60-70% of the new price the seats are available on the web? Assuming they are in good condition, then that's probably the price people would consider reasonable?
If it were me, that's what I would expect. if the price is too near the web-price for a new set, most folks would just buy new (no risk, full warranty etc etc). If the price is too cheap, you are doing yourself out of money... They seem to be about £650 new, on't t'internet...so £500 ish would seem like a realistic value for 2nd hand (assuming vgc). As yours have "slight wear" on the drivers seat, I think you can expect a good bit less. There...my twopenneth of what they're potentially worth, which was the question i think? they look pretty ideal to me, got be be worth £400 i would of thought but as they are giving you some hassle i'll give you a tenner if you include delivery just to make the problem go away!
So if your here to make money i presume that means the BAMA event is purely money making - No i thought not! Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

Argh this is all more hassle than it's worth, I may as well just hold onto the damn things!
Martin - I understand the forum rules, that's why I put the caveat at the bottom of my original post, apologies for the hassle it's caused. MartinK, James - thanks for your input, alas it all seems in vain! Chris - yes I am here to make money, it's a FOR SALE forum. Didn't your mother tell you that if you didn't have anything useful to say, say nothing? Obviously not... Pi$$ off and bore someone else eh? Ross The Scotia Winch Challenge |
