Check the cable is returning fully and not slightly open still? I.E push the handle in the cab back. |

The latch in the cabin is fully retracting so it's not that I'm afraid.

Check that the bushes are present and correct in the hinges.

I had a similar problem as well, actually the bonnet refused to even latch on. Don't know if it's the same problem as me but next to the pin in the center (dont know technical term) there's a cylindrical shaped metal with a spring around it try turning it clockwise or anticlockwise until the spring compresses a bit and try shutting again. 2012 Fuji White 110 Flattened

Similar problem. Two attempts by dealer to adjust without success, replaced cable and no problem after that.

If the back corner of the bonnet is digging into the wing, there must be something wrong with the hinges - a fault with the locking pin won't alter the basic alignment of the bonnet. There are only three things I can think of that will alter the alignment of the hinges:- 1) the bush is missing from one or other or both 2) the setscrews securing the hinge to the bonnet are loose or the hinge has moved on one or other or both sides 3) the bonnet itself is bent I suppose that it is also possible that the wing itself is bent. Any of these should be pretty easy to spot! Have you had a visit from the nocturnal light-fingered brigade trying to force your bonnet open and steal it? |

The guys at Mann automotive confirmed my guess as to the cause. Puma bonnets don't cope well with CP and being stood on to access the roof rack. Bonnet was twisted. All fixed now.
