My mastiff is over 230lbs and im not sure a wooden one would hold in the middle there..Was looking for something more of a metal material, but thanks for the offer mate |

I have one of these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pet-Gear-Tri-Fol...33699071b9 There are fine for my labs but the angle is a bit steep. I rest it on the tow ball bracket. Also Ive put carpet on it gives them a better grip |

I've also seen a loft ladder mechanism used and the ladder covered with hard board, it was fitted into a drawer like box so the floor was raised to the wheel arch level, if that makes sense!

Went with this one so will see how it holds up with the BIG boy seen as he is the lazy git.. The lab will probably just bound in as soon as the door opens Cheers mate |

I saw a Great Dane leap into the back of a 110USW the other day - I was most impressed!
Our lab makes the jump easily - she's now 5 though so it probably won't last. But then she's an easily pick uppable 26kgs! Your dogs sound HUGE!!! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

Benson - my black lab can jump in no problem, but he has bad front shoulders so I cant allow him to jump out! Murphy - my chocolate lab could do it if he applied himself. But he doesnt!
Bit like my school reports The problem with a normal dog ramp is storing it inside your landie when on the move. With my diy effort its permenantly there and not in the dogs way when in transit. |
