ECM clicking sound when the engine is under load
Greetings,
I have got a Defender Puma SW year 2008 - For about two years I have got a clicking sound emanating most probably from the ECM placed in the engine compartment against the bulkhead.
This clicking sound only takes places when the engine is under load (for ex. climbing a hill) and only when I press the accelerator pedal-
No LR dealer has been able to give me any idea if this is a problem or not (The engine runs fine) - I know however that they are a few relays in the ECM which, for some reasons might be "stressed" when confronted to an engine load... This mostly happens if I am in sixth or fifth gear as I am loosing speed due to the road gradient- Going into fourth gear and reeving the engine seems to lessen this "clicking" sound although it is still present (as long as the engine is under load)
On a flat road, at any gear this problem does not happen.

Has any Puma owner encountered the same experience?
Regards
