Blue smoke on cold idle after standing
Hi folks, I have one that causes me quite the headscratch.

When standing for "longer" periods of time, the startup is really rough and the Defender blows blue smoke for 10-30 seconds, before clearing and humming like nothing was going on. Longer meaning a couple of hours here...

Idling during that period is way rougher than it used to be on even a cold cold start.
All of this comes after a injector change a few weeks ago. I was suspecting copper seal of one of the injectors, but I do have no sign of excessive blow by. The seals around the injectors are clean and if I open the oil cap there is some pressure, but for my amateur eyes not to bad. Way less than before the injector change.

Any suggestions?

Did you complete a pump learn , then a pilot correction ( run at between 75C and 80C ) after you coded the new injectors ?

Ps , some 2.4s push out a little blue smoke on initial startup, there are a few topics on it if you do a search. Apparently it’s normal for some to do and your new injectors may have put you in that category.
