Steering box adjuster nut
Hi all. I’ve got a leak from a fairly new steering box. Likely cause I think is the locking nut with built in seal - RTC4394. Nut plus VAT and postage seems to land around £25 which is nuts for a nut!

Can’t I just use an o ring, washer or use marine sealant etc? 2010 2.4 TDCI Puma Defender 90

Slacken the nut by a turn / 1 millimeter, and wind a few turns of ptfe (thread) tape. That should seal it.
If the box is adjusted well, keep an allen key on the adjuster so you do not loose the setting. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
