Fuel Pump QR connectors
So…. I have a very noisy fuel pump in my 110.

Fortunately a previous owner had the foresight to cut an access hole with a blunt chainsaw that’s big enough for myself and at least two of my children to get our hands in at the same time to help Rolling Eyes

Had a good clean round tank, popped off connectors with long nose pliers easily enough. When it came to fitting connectors two went on very easily. White and blue. The green and black were a nightmare. Just wouldn’t go as if something was blocking the way. Pump out again. No obstructions etc. had it n and out a few times.

Started losing light and need it for work so put the old pump back in. Fitting the old pump was the same nightmare. Expected it to go back in but the green and black connectors just wouldn’t go. Was as if they were too big for the port. In the end I grabbed the hose connecters carefully with pliers and just got them in enough by pushing as hard as I could to get them to latch.

Double checked all ports. No grit no obstructions etc.
The fact that it was the same two hoses made me look at the hose ends but they looked fine.

YouTube videos make it look so easy and they clip straight in.

Am I doing something wrong or is this the norm?

Will try again next week.

Cheers chaps/chapesses

Just this weekend I fit a new fuel pump to my 110 as I also had a new pump, it's great to be done and the new one is practically silent.

When I was connecting the fuel lines, specifically the black connector I had to pull the fuel line a touch to give myself a bit of slack. Where mine is running means the connector wants to go in at an angle but If i give the fuel line a bit of a pull I got it square and it goes in.

They didn't go in fully initially just most of the way, I used a mini prybar to just nudge the end of the plastic clips in and they clicked nicely into place.

hope this helps somewhat
