DRL Module
The problem I have is a wired my DRL’s last year and used an ebay DRL module which worked fine, the DRLs turned off after 15seconds.

After a period of the time the delay got longer and longer.

Fitted new module and tested it in the day and all good, then on Tuesday night (lights on off steering stalk) they would not turn off.

Here’s a pic of the ebay listing and my wiring which shows new yellow coming in from RHS.

What’s the issue?

They cost about £4 each module.

There's your problem.

If the concept works for you get something better (more expensive)

I wired the DLR off the ignition with a relay. Simples.

It seems to be a voltage dependent switch so I assume it will detect engine running or not and then there is a timer relay built in as well as a headlight delay (just looking at the picture).

Obviously it's not that hard to distinguish between the car in use and at rest (contact switched power galore) and also a timer relay is easy enough to include in s circuit around the headlight switch, but one of the pitches of this device is the ease of installation: plumbed right at the battery, where presumably the same convenience orientated end user has wired in his radio, amp, fan, coffe machine, etc.

On top of that it seems to be failing quickly, so in that basket of AliExpress: nice idea cheaply executed

As did I with a n/c relay to switch them off when I switched the side / headlamps on.
