Replacement doors
Need a pair of 2nd row doors and a safari door in the near future....

Looking at SP 4x4, is it worth getting the galvanised "old style" or are the galvanised "new style" noticeably better?

Obviously upgrading would mean the purchase of a lot of new ancillaries

I wouldn’t fit the old pre 2005 style doors even if they were free!

I fitted a set of the series doors to mine, it left the factory with them, Galv of course.

Come with everything you need, no problems fitting, good quality.

Finally painted them last week after a year.

Not seen the later style.

Don't buy the black powder coated ones, it will peel off. Galvanized is the way. I would have preferred the puma doors as I believe they are much better. 1983 110 automatic OM606

Yeah I'm at the stage where if it's steel and being replaced, it's galvanised!

It's why I'm probably going to go DDS tree sliders over Shire or the other options

Having said that, they do a galvanised safari puma door, but not a 2nd row. That might make the choice for me!

The non - galvanized rear door I had has been on for three years, has been repainted once and has holes in it from dissimilar metals corrosion. The galvanized door tops ( painted over ) are perfect. 1983 110 automatic OM606
