| [Wanted] /Swap Defender 110 for my Range Rover Sport | |
Okay, so more a feeler advert... Ive decided to get back into the game and Im looking for a 110 300 tdi/td5  as with all defenders I'm not to worried about the material condition - most important things is the chassis/usual rust spots bulkheads etc and servicing on the engine - Id prefer the 300 tdi as Ive 2 previous 300s and find them very easy to work on.
So I currently have a L494 Range Rover Sport 3.0 tdv6 HSE Dynamic I have to swap - that's in all round great condition - currently running at 143k - scary mileage..no... there's a lot of members on the RRSport Forum running the 3.0 tdv6 with over 200/220 and 240,000 miles on - people have been put off by recent crankshaft issues on these engines - bad servicing and a heavy right foot hitting 5/6000 rpm is not good on these cars, for example on a cold morning letting the engine sit for 2/3 minutes on a cold morning whilst it warms up, not giving the car a good drive out like most diesels need etc
Ive done 14k in 3 years so it's been serviced every 5000 miles with fresh oil etc - MOT due next month and a full service will be done along with a fresh clear mot - Im not expecting any MOT issues brakes were done 10k ago discs and pads, front suspension arms and lower arms have been replaced, new tyres all round 10k ago also. I have list of other smaller items that have been replaced also in a nice big folder .
I also had the front bumper and wings resprayed 3 months ago to get rid of the stone chips so the car body work and interior is in fantastic condition for its age - rear seats look like no one has ever sat in them, everything works heated steering wheel, front screen all the bells and whistles.
So yeh Im basically now missing a Defender  ,that loud diesel engine noise, drips of oil on the driveway and the doors flinging open around roundabouts  So if anyone is interested in some sort of swap deal for my L494 -( I will obviously post photos/extra info etc ) drop me a message
