G WAGON
having had a 1989 GD300 LWB years ago, then many other 4 x 4's and more recently Defenders, about 3 of the last run of old shape and 3 new defenders, a year ago I swapped my 2023 110 D300 for a 2017 G63 (which is insane )

I got a hankering for another old G. - so now own a 1994 ex dutch military G290 (5 cyl diesel)

got home tonight in my Defender SVX, to see them both in my drive Very Happy

Nice, love a 461 greenliner. the 5 pot 290 is nice as well (I guess it's the auto with the new-ish type sprinter dash?)

Nah it's a 1994 manual 5 sp 5 cyl 2.9. NON Turbo

Did you get it resprayed cozz, or did it leave the NL military in that colour?

I dropped my dad's A series Merc off for a service last week at the local independent Merc specialist and they had a soft top ex military G in their compound. Didn't get chance to ask them about it, but it looked good.

Brought back happy memories of when we took my mate's SWB 300GD to Iceland in 1985 after finishing Uni and spent a month over there off the beaten track.

I bought it done, it had been resprayed from NATO green - its now a 1970's Porcshe Chartreuse Green apparently !
