1991 Defender 110 300 Tdi PU Trident Green

1991 300TDI Instrument Light Problem

Hello all of great Landrover knowledge.
I have fitted a new autosparks loom, should have tested before ifitted. However I cant seem to get any power to the instrument lights (red/white) multi connector behind binnacle.
Checking the many wiring diagrams it appears the power is supplied on a red wire that is connected to the red/white, I cant for the life of me find this connection but i havent stripped the whole dash out again to have a look.

Any ideas form the electricaly wise on here would be greatly appreciated.
I have checked the fuses, relays etc but no continuity with the red/white wire in the multi connecter behind the binnacle...........I am at a loss and i really dont want to strip the whole thing out if i dont have to.
