Modular steels v alloys
My 90 came with black modular wheels and bfg mud terrain tyres. I like the look but wonder how much more suitable alloys would be as I mainly drive on the road. I want to get an Alive Tuning remap but wonder whether I should get some boosts, or similar, on my Td5 first - are they so much lighter that they'll make a big difference on the road?

i've got a far better offset with my modulars on my 300 than i have ever had with alloys. Its probably equivilent to having wheel spacers, which feels better on road as you have a wider track for cornering stability.

like fekete says - you wouldn't notice; tyre choice would be more important.

I've not got modulars but Mach 5's but either way they are much easier to keep clean, are more resilient to wear and tear and with the offsets available (mine is 40mm as is Fekete's I believe) you can get a more 'aggressive looking stance.' You also get the ability to rip off a Citroen's front offside wing without damaging your own vehicle when he tries to cut you up!
