Anyone in Essex to retrim seats?

Hi all, I'm getting yellow dust coming out of my seats so want to replace the foam and will also do the covers while I'm at it.

Although I have watched a handful of YouTube vids. I really don't want to do this myself but finding it a lot harder than I thought to find someone prepared to do it for me. Seems relatively straightforward forward, especially for a retrim expert/upholsterer. I have sent out a few emails to local companies but no-one coming back to me.

Can anyone recommend someone in Essex that might do this for me?

Not a defender specialist, but certainly a car upholstery specialist. Phoenix Coach Trimmers in High Easter are worth a call.

BJ’s Car Trimmers in East Hanningfield.

I’ve used them twice, and the work has been Faultless both times. 2002 td5 90 county hardtop

1995 Defender 90 300 Tdi HT Auto Rutland Red

those britpart kits fit well and are not that hard to fit. watch a few you tube videos of how to do it.i did mine without any problems.

Thank you Ian, yes you did. I gave them a shout and was quoted £700 which I felt was incredibly lumpy for what everyone is saying is a pretty easy job.

Wow....that’s a mad price... they obviously have sufficient business refurbishing classic Rolls Royce’s , Ferraris, Aston Martin’s etc

I used to work 100metres from BJs, and I’m not sure he will answer your Emails either.
Both times I used him , I just turned up and waved some notes in his direction.
A lot of his work is from main dealers, doing minor repairs on cars before they go out, he also does a lot of restoration work and full retrims on classic cars.
His name is Barry. 2002 td5 90 county hardtop

I found a trimmers in shoebury called carl trim - repaired some rips in my mini seats and charged £40 a rip. 1953 80"

I dropped Carl Trim a line via their online form a while ago and got no response. BJ’s replied to my email asking me to pop in and discuss fabric and colours, when I referred back to the trim kit I’d mentioned, I got no reply.

I think I need to set some time aside and pick up the phone like the old days and ring around rather than messaging. I might actually swing past Carl Trim tomorrow

I thought the same, maybe just not their thing which is fair enough.
