There are lots of options out there, but the leading models are 1DIN flip out Pinoeer AVH7200DAB which I have myself.
There is also the new Stinger Heigh 10 which is 2 DIN.
Both are really close in specs, but the Stinger has HDMi and other features, but is also a fair sum more in cost as well.
Both aren’t cheap, but both do pretty much everything that most folk on here would want.

I use TomTom Go paid App on CarPlay on it as well, I find that works really well.
Of course there are other Apps like Waze as well WeWillWin🇬🇧🇺🇸

Any pics of the head unit please? The amazon page looks to be one of the ones that sits proud of the fascia? How do you get on with it? > 110 XS Double Cab

Thanks, there's certainly some nice units out there. For me the Defender isn't my daily drive, mainly because it doesn't fit in the work multi story car park 😃 Ultimately would love to splash out on a better unit, but for now, the "cheapo" one is working well. You're right, it does stick out a little. Not enough for it to cause me an annoyance. The alternative ones with the flip/slide up screens would foul access to my dash buttons more.

I don't have a pic, but will get one once I've done at work. 2009 Stornaway Grey Puma Build Thread

Here are some pics, as you can see it does sit a little proud but doesn’t really bother me.

tbh that looks good! I'm not yet a fan of the double din, but I saw a stinger the other day and it does look pretty original

Yeah some do look good, I promised myself I’d be true to its heritage when I bought it…. Didn’t take long before I broke that promise 🤣 plan is I keep all the bits to put it back to standard should I decide to sell it… which of course I never will 🤣 2009 Stornaway Grey Puma Build Thread

You can use the remote but you can also do it on the screen. When you’re just using radio you can tap the speaker on the screen and swipe it up or down.

If you’re using CarPlay, you press the power button then swipe up or down. 2009 Stornaway Grey Puma Build Thread

That’s exactly what I thought. When I got it it was even cheaper then it is now, but given I’ve not had any issues with it, and I got it in Feb 24 id pay the extra.. 2009 Stornaway Grey Puma Build Thread
