Hi all, been offered a very nice first edition 110 at a reasonable price with 50k on the clock. Just wondered if the 2.0d is as bad in the defender as other cars as i haven't heard of as many failures in the new defender
Currently got a d5 first edition which has been absolutely amazing so I dont want to get rid of it and end up with a lemon 2000 90 TD5,galv chassis, d2 axles ,Bas remap , alisport intercooler , d2 transfer box , side windows-more to come-much more!! *GONE* 2004 110 TD5 Double cab. *GONE* 2010 110 2.4 XS station wagon |

Petrols don’t seem to suffer any major issues from what I’ve seen.

petrol's are much better bar they have poor mpg.
vvt solenoids are known to fail and the folk who run them and plan to keep them try to 1/2 the service intervals that lr recomend |
