My Grenadier Experience

I was lucky enough to purchase one of the first Grenadiers in the US as I had been waiting forever for them to arrive. My excitement led to a quick purchase and trade in of my previous Land Rover and unfortunately the nightmares started day one. As soon as I arrived home from taking delivery I found my driveway covered in some fluid. Thankfully it was only washer fluid and I was told there was connection that had come loose. From there the car immediately gave me check engine lights daily and got tired of going to the dealer for resets. I was told this was due to getting gas and the gas cap not sealing correctly throwing the fault. Seemed odd. From there, the first heavy rain the car leaked in multiple places including the tailgate and safari windows quickly growing mold under the mats and in the headlining. After multiple attempts to fix the leaking continued. The steering was always offer center, and again after multiple attempts it was never perfect. The rear suspension was incredibly noisy over every minor bump to where it sounded like something was not fitted tightly or properly. Multiple issues with the infotainment freezing. And the issues go on and on. I had it for 5 months for taking a hit and traded it in for another Defender. I truly wanted the Grenadier to work as I still have a love for it but the time at the dealer made it unusable.

Sounds like they tried to copy the old defender a bit too much.

Sounds like you have been unlucky. Don't you have the Lemon Law in the USA to return a vehicle?
Overall I've not heard that many issues with vehicles or ownership. Most car makers have issues, esp with a new model. So this isn't unusual tbh, be it ford, Toyota, GM.... and on occasion you end up with an individual vehicle that seems to have an abnormal amount of issues. Hence the fact there is such a thing as the Lemon Law.
