Defender td5 help please
Hi guys need a little help . Have a 52 plate td5 on the spot she will Rev fine limiter works . When you drive it and try and bog your foot it will pull for a minute get to certain Rev and go flat nothing and smoke change gear she will pull fine again till it hits the same spot then flat again no power . Any help would be great I’ve just got new intercooler hoses arrive going to try those to. Thanks Shocked

Hi yes waste gate seems to be free and moving and I can’t see any split hoses or no noises of split hose

Possibly over boosting, has anyone been adjusting the length of the wastegate arm.

It was doing it before I brought it so I turned it one turn to the rite still did say so then turned it 2 turns to left still the same buddy

In standard tune I believe there should be 13 threads on the wastegate.

 1999 Defender 110 Td5 HT Coniston Green
Mine was doing similar but kangarooing at high revs, I swapped the injector harness, freed the watergate as was stiff, cleaned injectors. Cleaned ECU plug, but non of the above helped then
I unplugged the MAF sensor and it appears to have cured it, I’m yet to replace the sensor however so it’s still unplugged but seems to run fine
