Softop kit - rounded or flat fixed screen rail?

Hoping someone can advise for my PUMA, ordinarily reading about it seems I need a fixed flat screen rail.

However it appears that for my tdci I can fit the rounded type rail with quick release clips.

Asking because I'm unsure of the pros/cons of doing either - perhaps someones who's done that can advise?

But the main prompt for the questions, is that it seems if I wanted to remove the soft canvas completely 'on the fly' so to speak, I'd need the quick release kit as the other flat type seems that I need to carry a tool kit and remove the flat fixed screen rail at the same time?

Similarly the screen rail do I need to fit some sort of silicone to make it watertight ( asking because if I had a fixed flat rail then sure this would all come off)?

Or am I confused .......
