They should but I would trust somebody like Autoglass to do in properly first time.
It is not difficult to do yourself, worst part is getting the excess sealer off the paintwork. This is the sealer I used. http://www.directcarparts.co.uk/product/27...black.html Bob |

I've had the same leak from day one after heavy rain. In fact I have removed the metal strips that hold the sound deadening to the side of the bulkhead by the doors so I can dry them out more easily.
I always thought that it was coming in through the draught strip thing at the corner where the screen hinge is because I can see it dripping from an adjoining metal bracket which is held on by two bolts (inside the vehicle). I put it down to bad design - the fix being to cut out enough of the strip in order to completely seal the gap properly from side to side - when the weather is dry enough ! But now I'm not sure as the windscreen seems to be just as likely a culprit. But if you put a load of sealant in there wouldn't it simply trap any water that might be already in there and will eventually rust its way through ? |

Due to the high risk of damaging the screen on removal dealers can be reluctant to remove the screen and will only do so as a last resort. I stumbled across the cause due to Autoglass replacing my screen due to a stone crack. Funny how Autoglass claimed they knew about the water ingress issue on Pumas when the dealers don't/didn't! Irrespective of this if you have no joy with the dealer take it to a 'glass specialist' who carry out screen removals on a daily basis and get them to clean and seal it, it will save you going round in circles getting nowhere fast with the dealer if they don't play ball.
