Dc current to central door locking Actuator
Rear passenger central door locking has stopped working. Got access to the power cable supplying the actuator. Am I right in thinking a quick power dc voltage signal should be sent upon pressing the key fob? Hooked up my volt meter but nothing shows when setting it to dc 20v. Other doors work so not sure if power or actuator. Any other tests I can do? Thanks

99 percent of time it’s the wires from vehicle to door.

Going to the actuator is only two thin wires protected via some trunking.

If there is only two wires (which there would be on a rear door) then that will be them

If you got to the B post you can pull out the rubber trucking that goes to the door and then pull out the connector that supplies the power to the central locking. Do your tests there. And also give the wires that go into the door a good pull. I think you will probably find a broken one or two.
