Unresponsive touchscreen
Hello all, long time lurker, first time poster here so hope I’ve done everything right,

I’ve had the JVC KW-M565DBT (mud stuff special) double din installed for a couple of years now but the touchscreen has now become completely unresponsive, it started with just the top half then went on a loop of pressing itself through an endless loop of menus, but has now all gone. The display itself is still working fine but zero control over any function. I’ve had it out and the fuse is fine and all connections appear to be clean and secure.

Has anyone more learned than I got a way of resetting the touchscreen ? I can’t see anything about it in the manual ?

I’d ideally like to avoid having to buy a new head unit but if it has to be done are there any recommendations that fit the double din on the puma WITH a physical volume button this time around ?

Cheers, Chips.

Usually when this happens it's due to a failure of the touch-sensitive overlay on the display, and only a replacement screen will solve it. It's an extremely common problem the the VW/AUDI/Skoda units fitted to Yetis etc, but for those the overlay can be replaced. I'm not sure if the JVC one can, but someone will have made a YouTube video if it can be done.
