Intermittent heating with heated/cooled front seats
Have people with 14-way heated and cooled electric memory front seats found that the heating function is unreliable?

For example, the heated seats seem to work fine for the most part, but on occasion, the seats won't heat and instead act like they're on the low setting of the cooling function. i.e. you can feel a slight cool breeze from the seats and no heat when the heating level is set to any level.

This problem has been occurring for both the driver and passenger front seats.

I have a 2022 NAMER 110 X-Dynamic with 14-way heated and cooled electric memory front seats.

Without success, a few things I've tried to work around the issue:

* Hard reset of Pivi with engine off
* Using the Pivi screen to turn on and adjust the heating level

I found one forum thread where an owner reported that the heating function of the heated/cooled seats seems to have a mind of its own. I can agree with that.

The front heated seats in our 2021 90 First Edition with heated seats (no cooling function) work reliably. However, I read that the heating function in the heated/cooled seats uses a different technology. i.e. not just a heating pad, but a common device for both cooling and heating:

Update: Took the vehicle in for warranty service for this issue. Dealer was not able to duplicate the problem, but they updated software for the HVAC module and tested the heated seat function for several 30-minute durations. Seemed to work fine for them. I picked up vehicle for 3-hour drive home, but the issue persists.

I’ll probably get it back to the dealer via Land Rover’s free under warranty roadside assistance towing service. I suspect that they’ll start replacing parts.

If they don’t start replacing parts, I’ll likely start doing so myself. For example, since the issue affects both front seats at different times, my first attempt will be to replace the dash Heater Control - Land-Rover (LR145078) with a unit from a salvaged vehicle. Likely ~$300 via ebay. Should be an easy plug and play experiment. I can always resell the part if it doesn’t address the problem. 2021 D90 Pangea First Edition

This has actually just started happening on my seats over the weekend. Wife spotted it on passenger seat. I came here to see if others have same issue. I’ll give my local dealer a call

I bought a CPO D90 75th limited on 2/15. Car went to service 1 week after as battery died. Drove for a week then now non of heating functions work (heater, heated steering wheel, heated seats - both fronts and bak) a cooled seats). No idea how all can stop after dealership visit.
