Not familiar with the actual workshop but Gaydon have a security gate to negotiate, they can direct you to the correct location.
If itโs your first time at HQ, itโs a small town inside, so best getting direction from the gate. Heads up, there will be lots of prototypes knocking about so filming is activity discouraged and stick to the speed limits, both are robustly enforced by security and the intellectual property police. |

Thank you .
I am asking as a car I am looking at has had its first service done there, so I am guessing it was a factory / employee vehicle. |

Oh I see, apologise for the assumption you were attending the location.
Yes lots of employees cars there, but some are indeed factory cars and they can live a hard life, track and off road testing etc. Buy wisely |

they dont sell the test cars
management cars and press cars go a different route - they could service it at gaydon, if it was a press car, although they service them elsewhere in the main Mike |

Yep, building 523 is onsite at Gaydon. Its where the marketing team have been based so press-car makes sense. Instagram: L90andy My 1984 Ninety: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56071.html - SOLD! My 2015 Defender: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39625.html - SOLD! |

Oof, I'd probably stay clear of an ex-press car. Obviously press cars are well-equipped, but they are pushed to the extremes both on and off road by journalists. I remember a story about someone who unknowingly bought an ex-press car M3, and it had a ton of problems. He didn't know it was a press car until he saw an episode of Top Gear and noticed the license plate on his M3 was the same one that Clarkson was thrashing around the track.
Its just like buying an ex-rental car. I'd personally steer clear. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3...-Gear.html ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ (Pangea Green over Acorn/Lunar) ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ง ๐ (Dolomite Silver over Black/Bordeaux Red) ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐ข๐ (Aintree Green over Vintage Tan/Ebony) - Gone ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐.๐ (Ipanema Sand over Almond/Arabica) - Gone |

You might drop lucky - it used to take Browns Lane a year to de-snag and build a press Jag
Check under the seats for porn mags - a favourite trick of the workshop jokers for cars loaned/sold to celebs |

I met a woman who bought a 'cancelled' G4 LR from a land rover dealer.
When she put child seats in the back, loaded with kids, the kids were covered in Red Dust !! Turns out it was a USED reconnaissance vehicle for a future G4 challenge. Every time she went over bump on the road the kids + seats would bounce and puff up the red dust. We all know what north Africa is like. |
