I’m about to start researching the parts and steps needed to retrofit second row heated seats in my 2022 110 X that has the tumble forward second row (no third row) in a 40:20:40 configuration.
Has anyone tackled this project? I see this offering, but I suspect that I can source the OEM parts directly and activate the feature on my own. https://sx-tool.com/en/product/l663-rear-heated-seats/ Since my Defender has the dial type controls in the rear console, I’ll need to source the ones that allow you to push the dials and select the desired heating level (similar to the front console’s dials). Parts (draft, work in progress): LR155819 - ~$300 - Heater Control - Electrical components, with heated rear seat, without cool rear seat. Defender 110. Auxiliary. With rear seat heater. Without rear seat cooler. Three dial unit. LR132887 - ~$160 each -Upper Seat Heater Pad (Rear) - 40/20/40 rear seats - Same part for left and right seats. LR132464 - ~$160 each - Lower Seat Heater Pad - 40/20/40 rear seats - Same part for left and right seats. …other parts? wiring harnesses? BTW, when shopping for pre-owned 110s, I made the mistake of assuming that the presence of the dials in the rear console meant that at least heated seats were present. Unfortunately, after purchased the 110, I realized that the dials in my 110 would not depress and that it didn’t have heated seats. Doh!
