It sounds like it was fairly flawed from an engineering point of view though.
The planned expansion of the Td5 engine to a straight six would have been excellent, but sadly that never happened either. They’d have been better putting the M57 diesel in. The straight six Ingenium is an excellent engine, but 20 years too late for the original Defender line. |
