Manual gearbox (R380) oil…
I use Land Rover branded MTF94 oil in my gearbox.

I have sufficient of the above to hand for when I routinely change the oil in summer, but I am interested to hear/read what others recommend for their R380?

I have read that the LR MTF94 was ‘good’ at the time but more modern alternatives may be superior and may improve gear changes? I am aware that the recognised experts such as Ashcroft and Winchester propose alternatives. I currently am not experiencing any issues so I may just stick wit the LR MTF94.

I do acknowledge the ‘agricultural’ nature of the R380 so I am not expecting that any alternatives will be transformational - I am just interested in what others have been using.
