JLR might get a lot of things wrong, but the fact that theyโ€™re consistently pushing out these updates along with relatively detailed change logs is admirable!

I understand LR know of these problems, well before they fix them. Software is released to production knowing there are problems. If customers find issues, then they are prioritized for the next Software update.

I have 4.2.1 and it does NOTHING to my 20MY vehicle, so why send them to me.

Because having a fleet with somewhat homogenous software makes life easier for JLR. Also, there might be improvements and changes that arenโ€™t listed in the release notes that do apply to your vehicle.

I can not agree with the above comment.

Do you actually talk to LR Gaydon engineers ???

What makes you think that? The release notes mention several things that will apply to a wide range of vehicles, including 20MY.

I had a bit of a problem with jerking around 1500 rpm, I solved it by starting to fill up with fuel without the bio component, since then no problem...
after the update the car sometimes jerks around 1200 rpm, bad update for me - if that has something to do with it.
