United Kingdom 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Zermatt Silver
VIN plate on dash/firewall replacement
Hey everybody, someone ripped out the VIN plate on the dash of my 2011 Puma 110, this is the small aluminium ID tag behind the windscreen glass. I have had a duplicate made but my
question is :
1) Do any of you have experience with replacing this VIN tag?
2) Is it possible to remove the windscreen glass and access the old rivets enough to replace and install the new plate? Or, does the entire front windscreen assembly need to be removed to correctly access the area?

I was told it is is possible to replace this VIN plate by simply removing the front glass, but upon inspection it doesn’t look possible and the rivets are positioned further down beyond the windscreen frame itself.
Please offer up any advice, experience/expertise if possible.
Thanks so much !!
