They haven’t been available for a while, only available on the Hard Top.
I’ve had steels on all my Defenders except my X-Dynamic. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

The "basic" hard top with steel wheels has been deleted from the range. Cheapest is now the "S" at £57,000 and it comes with alloys.
You can always buy a set of steel wheels, new "take off" are around £100 each. Make sure the seller hasn't removed the TPMS sensors from the wheels. |

Yes but steels are still a no cost option on the S Hard Top. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

There are a number of sets of steel wheels on Ebay for £5-600
l've got a set of five new take-off at £500 including wheel nuts centre caps and TPMS sensors still fitted. So you could buy a Defender with alloys and fit the steel wheels for £500. You could keep the alloys for Summer or sell them. |

That's a bit of a rip off in my opinion. Personally l would get it with the alloys and then buy a set of new "take off" steel wheels for around £500 You'd get a lot more than that for the alloys with tyres if you sell them. |
