United States 2016 Defender 110 Other SW Auto Fuji White
Rotopax Ladder Mount
Installed the BA Tents Rotopax Ladder Mount to carry extra coolant. I typically carry extra fluids (coolant, oil, gear fluid, transmission fluid, brake fluid...) when off-roading. I had my extra coolant container inside the Defender and it leaked (factory LR 1-gallon jug)...what a mess.

It was very straight forward install, mount is very sturdy and easy to use. The 2-gallon canister sits just below flush with the ladder...this is great because with the trails I do here in the Northeast USA, I didn't want to add width to my Defender. I can add an additional canister with the Rotopax extension mount when needed. I have read that the Rotopax Locking mount is prone to failing due to the lock being susceptible to dust/corrosion...I found a site that sells 3D printed covers for it to help with that issue...time will tell.

Links to the parts used...Added the Topo Side Window Panel Overlays link as well (I figured someone will ask about it.)

That looks really slick. Great work!

Were you at the Pilgrimage up in Vermont last weekend? Heard a story about an L663 that caused a bit of a traffic jam on the trail.

Hit me up if you want to wheel around the Northeast, I'm thinking about trying to sneak in a trip to the North Maine Woods before the white stuff gets here (more than it already has). 2022 Defender 110 SE P400 Tasman Blue Expedition and Cold weather package

I did the same thing but with Powerful UK molle plates, which allow for fixing of several items.

Also allows for the ladder being on ether side of the vehicle. And the side carrier box to be located.

I then used the molle plates to hang my rear awning on.

I was not able to make it to Pilgrimage this year. Most of my club members were there...I'm on the board of the Defender Offroad Club of New Hampshire. We have events and trail rides all the time.

I am definitely interested in some trail rides, I've be doing some trails locally in Upstate NY lately.

Re: Rotopax Ladder Mount
This is really neat though too!

PS. Someone should make/sell those Trek decals…

As I'm sure the OP has noticed - getting things shipped over to the US from powerfulUK is prohibitively expensive and it is nice to have a domestic source of accessories.

My wife put a scratch on the top of our bumper loading things in the cargo space for a trip. I went to go buy the bumper protection from powerfulUK and they wanted (IIRC) 2x what the cover costs just to ship it. 2022 Defender 110 SE P400 Tasman Blue Expedition and Cold weather package

I have ordered many things from PowerfulUK...I pay a premium here in the US for shipping and VAT. But, they are innovative and well worth the costs, especially since the Defender accessory companies in the US are limited.
