Series 2A 109 gearbox/engine/cab fit 88 chassis
Hi Everyone,

I’m pretty new to series landys so please forgive the potentially stupid question or if its in the wrong section. Will the majority of components from a 109 2A fit onto a 88 chassis? I’ve got a 109, but really want a 88, how difficult is it to retrofit the cab/engine/transmission onto a 88 chassis from a donor car?

Thanks in advance!

I think they will. The rear tub is of course very different. Front wings might be slightly different in detail, but same size.

Bulkhead, cab (needs a filler plate at the back on 88”), doors, floors, seat box, fuel tank, engine, gearbox front axle all the same. Rear axle lower shock absorbers mount might be different but transferable.

Suspension (rear), rear prop, brakes (although a 109 upgrade to 88 is good)

The speedo may not suit the standard 88 tyres if you decide to go to the smaller tyres. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV
