England 2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 CSW Zermatt Silver
Instrument Cluster
Hi all

Just looking at TDCI instrument clusters on EBay and the Freelander 2 looks exactly the same as a defender Puma one. I know that they are different part numbers but the rear plug and fixings appear identical. There is a fixing tab on the top of the Freelander cluster which the Defender one doesn't have but that's about it.

The cost is what caught my eye. Freelander cluster = £35 Defender cluster = £250

Anyone ever fitted a Freelander one in their Puma?

Jim

Hi Martin

Nothing wrong with my cluster, a search of instrument cluster lights/bulbs brought up the complete clusters for a Defender and a Freelander.

I was just curious if they were interchangeable given the difference in price?

I am considering the ultraguage modification to the instrument cluster.
Is it possible to cannibalise a FL2/disco cluster rear support piece, file out as appropriate for the ultraguage and then swap my existing support over to the new one?
