Hmm trying to work out whether I can be bothered to drive nearly 3 hrs either tonight and camp or tomorrow am, to look at a whole load of things without anything I'm particularly looking for...
I mean I need new doors at some point, I doubt anyone is going to be selling a decent pair for less than I can get brand new galvanised series style doors... Shower awning maybe? Peli cases? We had a good day but felt there were plenty of sellers but not many buyers.
Pretty well finished by one o’clock, chatted to lots of people and everything stayed dry, which is a bonus. I was told there was not much series stuff for sale, which meant I sold lots.😊 |

I sold almost all i wanted to, most went to fellow traders before the gates were open. That was lucky because there was definitely a lack of punters.
I was rather dissapointed with the entry system. There was one long queue of vehicles that eventualy split into 2 queue's, one for pre booked tickets and one for 'pay on the gate'. Everyone seemed to have pre booked and they were all being booked in by 1 bloke, the 2 ladies on the 'pay at the gate' were stood with nothing to do while the queue of vehicles got longer and longer. |

I thought the queuing was better than most years. Normally it's been everyone in the same queue and it splits near the front so there was hardly any benefit to prebooking. I arrived 9:30 and was in within 10 mins.
I think there's quite a lot of local non-LR daytrippers just come to wander and have some coffee because there's nothing else to do that weekend. Therefore unlikely to buy anything serious. I still hear Dutch and French spoken widely which shows the importance of the event. The sellers with big Puma components were swamped with offers and one guy told me he sold most stuff on Saturday night. I generally don't buy big components there as there's a lot of retail options these days. Not many known traders visible and a dearth of 300Tdi specific parts; now mostly Pumas being broken. Brian from Dunsfold had a lot of series stuff but he also knows it's value so not many bargains there. The value to me is the NOS stuff in boxes that sellers don't want to sort and put on eBay, so I spend most of my time rummaging for bargains. Spent £150 in all.
