Do these all fit together?
Hello all,

I have a 1993 90 and am replacing the rear safari door and wheel holder.

It currently has a mix of steel wheels on and as you can see, the type of hub beneath.

My question is do Boost alloys fit over these hubs fine (I’m 99% certain it’s fine)

Next question is, I have a new rear door wheel carrier (not swing away) as pictured. Will a Boost alloy fit on this? The reason I’m asking is the centre support bar (D shaped) doesn’t fit through the centre of the wheel as it does with a steelie. When I offer it up to a Boost alloy it means the threaded bars for the wheel nuts barely enter the holes for the studs. (Hope that makes sense)

I wondered if it’s designed that way to keep the wheel away from the door panel for example.

I don’t want to start drilling holes in my door if it’s not going to fit.

Pictures below.

^^ Thats for a 2002+ door.

The alloy wheel version of the pre 2002 carrier just did way with the hoop - there was a change to a wider plate on the outside at some point too.

But you can remove the safari door card, undo the hoop and remove it.

You will also need to fit 3x very large washers, or the "proper" very thin nuts KTD500100, to stop the Boost sliding past the threads and all the way up. Also alloy wheel nuts to hold it to the carrier (the steel nuts aren't suitable).  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

The boosts will fit over those rear drive members. You may have to ensure the flat of the bolt are align with the circumference.

Or use screw caps. Cheers
