When I was originally looking at Lazer lights I was told that in order to get them to work with the Matrix headlamps I would have to fit a Lazer CAN Interface to detect the canbus signals and let the lightbar work with the Matrix system. I went down a different route in the end so didn't pursue it any further.
I see they have this on their webpage now

Thanks. I spoke with Lazer, and they also told me I need a CAN interface since there is no 12V signal to the lights. They also said they could not guarantee that the LED bar would turn on when the Matrix was in “Auto” mode.
What I’m looking for is anyone who has tried a CAN interface on their car and knows whether it works in Auto or not. |

I bought the CAN parts with my Lazer linear 18 elite but it seemed like quite the hassle to install it. So I went for a wireless product made in Sweden called XBB instead. This means I have to deactivate the auto function and with that the matrix function. Cant say I missed it....
The XBB made the installation extremely easy. Just connect the led bar to earth and power and then the XBB unit in the OBD port where it senses whenever the main beam turns on or off and via bluetooth tells the led bar relay. https://www.xbb.se/en/ There is also the option of the Lazer Linear with the active sensor that dims some parts like matrix etc but I decided against that since the Elite puts out more power when fully on. 2025 Defender 130 V8 2025 Defender 90 D250 (wifes) 2024 Defender 110 p400e HSE (sold) 2015 Defender 110 Double cab 2004 Defender 90 Td5 |
