Stuck in First - need to get at detent
Hello

I've used the search and can see what I need to do...

Back from work I've taken the gear knob off, rubber boot, rubber sound protector? Then unbolted all the torx screws to get the transmission tunnel up so I can get at the (four?) bolts holding the gear selector in to access the detent....

My issue is how do you get the transmission tunnel up past everything. There doesn't seem to be enough room 😔 it's moved up but stuck..

I've searched what I thought was the all the detent threads but cannot see an obvious way...

Any recommendations please, it's this ridgid plastic transmission cover.

Thanks 👍

i took the hi low lever off - its a pain refitting lining up the bushes. and took the gear lever bottom mech out.

ali section can then come out with the plastic tunnel pretty much where it is.

you can then get to the detent. Cheers
