S5 is the tracker Cat 1 is alarm and immobiliser 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

If you log in to your inControl account, under InControl Services -> Secure Tracker (bottom right) you can click "View Certificate", that will display your Thatcham Compliance Certificate. Current vehicle: 2020 Defender 110S

Thanks Wizz - The cert focusses on the Tracker which is "Category 6" certified.
Nothing on the Alarm/Immobiliser - I assume it's taken as a given that these are Cat2 or above. |

The categories are not hierarchical, they refer to different systems. As J77 said, the Defender has Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser and Cat S5 tracker. Cat 6 was replaced by S5 and S7 from Jan 2019.

A pity JLR didn't update their certificates from "Cat 6", e.g. in time for the build of my 2020 Defender.
