[For Sale] Greeves Scottish 24TCS Motorbike
hope this is Okay and will make a donation on sale to the site
due to lack of use / loss of storage space I am reluctantly selling my 1959 Greeves Scottish 24 TCS 250cc
One of the first being build no 26 albeit a 1960 model, this bike was released to the dealer in September 1959 and sold and registered in December 1959 to the first owner who kept it for 50 years before selling it in 2009
matching numbers ( frame and engine ) bike and still bears its original registration number which is transferable
the bike has been fully rebuilt with the engine and gearbox absolutely as new and still requires fully running in, it will also be supplied with all of the internal gearbox components to table it up to ISDT spec which once fitted leaves 1st and 2nd low geared for trialling however 3rd and 4th are road going gears, these were all bought from Villiers services at considerable expense, the wheels are Dunlop rims rebuilt with stainless spokes, new ignition coil, points, plug, condenser, cables, sprockets, chain, tyres, exhaust and suspension units, it is also fitted with its original kidney speedometer and has been repainted in the correct Moorland blue paint - the aluminium tank & mudguards are as original so add a nice patina overall
this is circa 64 years old making it mot and tax exempt and also cheap to insure
ps I should also of added that it comes with its original handbook with some very nice original drawings and a folder of paperwork inc a letter from Greeves to the original owner.
