Check the plug on the rear of the instrument cluster isn’t loose or dislodged and general grounding on transmission is A1, plus that battery clamps are tight and battery voltage is in expected range.

For those that have a 2.4 Puma the CHT sensor is on the rear of the block, which is different to the 2.2.
The 2.4 requires a cut out socket that you can get to replace it as well, the socket for it is just under the engine cover and can be tested.

The 2.2 as has been mentioned is located in the location on pics above nearer the radiator in that hose, the part numbers for the 2.2 and 2.4 are different.

So just something to bear in mind.

Many faults are ground related, not always of course, loose connectors, a crack in a wire and more.
Ground faults being common can cause all sorts of random issues, as can voltage drop associated or a battery not in good state producing under voltage you never know but a Multimeter is a great too to sus out these things. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️
