Can’t say I’ve noticed on my 24MY but then I press the button on the steering wheel which switches speed stuff off and makes the lane assist less sensitive. I’ve never checked the settings it’s just how the salesman recommended it. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

l am an idiot!
It seems l have inadvertently pressed the steering wheel button to turn the system on. Or at least make it more noticeable. l've turned it off and it seems to be back to how it was before. |

It was one of the first things I turned off. I found it too intrusive. Especially in the wet, it appears the reflection off the wet bitumen and water affects the system, I had the wheel jerk violently to the right when there was a puddle on the left hand side of the road. That's not how I want the car to react. I also don't like it when towing the van, when windy the van sways a bit, the lane assist over compensates and you end up wandering all over the road. So it's a no from me.

When my G$ IID arrives I'll be sorting this out so I don't need to press that little button twice on every ignition cycle to get to Custom.

Can you change it with the GAP tool? l've not found any information about it. l asked the question but nobody replied.

They are talking about the driver assistance settings on 24MY vehicles - you can set it to remember your setting (i.e. off) with the tool.
As far as I know there’s no way of disabling the emergency LKA yet. |

Mines a MY23.5, the lane assist is always off unless I turn it on, must be different in the earlier models?

I don't know about the UK, but all new cars sold in the EU after July 1st need to have several assistance systems (lane keep assist, emergency braking, speed warning, etc.) turned on when starting the car.

Lane keep assist can be turned on and off with the button on the steering wheel and stays off when asked. Emergency lane keep assist is different and is always on unless turned off in the pivi pro menus. It then defaults back to on at every ignition cycle. |
