200tdi timing cover coolant leak?
Hi guys,
I’ve got a 1988 90 with a discovery 200tdi in it. I’ve changed the timing belt on it twice now and have a continuous leak when running (nothing when not running), coming from the bottom of the timing case out of the wading hole. Both times I’ve used fresh gaskets and on my second attempt I’ve used sealant aswell. I’ve been looking online and from some old threads regarding the defender 200tdi seem to be pointing at the gasket from the timing chest leaking (gasket err1607 on the defender engine, is this the same as on the disco engine).
Just wondering if it could be anything else as the first time I stripped it all back down the gaskets looked fine and I couldn’t tell where the leak is coming from.
Any helps much appreciated,
Thanks Josh.
