Tuning/remap d200 to d300

Has anybody started to remap the d200 to get the d300 performance as it looks like essentially the same engine/turbo? Or are there other differences, thanks

I doubt its just a Map on the Car. Probably Turbo or Cams or?

But maybe an aftermarket map can increase the BHP of the D200 or D250?

How much (if any) of the BHP comes from the MHEV Starter?

I thought its al the same, not a larger turbo etc,

im getting a hardtop d200 (only engine available) and would like to get it up to 250 or even better 300

as my current car is 280bhp

So will be interesting to see what the likes of Alive tuning etc can do

Superchips are doing them

D200 - changed from 187 BHP to 249 BHP - 500Nm to 541Nm

D250 changed from 247 BHP to 299 BHP - 550Nm to 601Nm

D300 - Changed from 296 BHP to 321 BHP - 650Nm to 701 Nm

I guess it can not be just Map as their D250 Tune does not achieve same Torque as a D300

£488 - less £100 discount at mo - £388

So buy a base D200 and have yourself better numbers than the D240 was. Sounds a good option.

Must be more to it than ECU from D200 to D300 from the factory. Anyone know if it’s turbos and intercooler? 1951 80" S1 2.0

I might be wrong but:

D200 and D240 are 2.0l engines
D300 is a 3.0l isn't it?

Hi Sam,

The new D200/250&300 are all 3.0.

I was comparing a re flashed D200 3.0 with the outputs for the 4cyl D240 1951 80" S1 2.0
1995 110 300TDI
1995 90 300TDI

When mine eventually turns up, I'll ask Gareth (who lives relatively just up the road from me) if he and I can do a physical side by side comparison (with photos) under the bonnet between his D300 and my D200. Should confirm if there are physically visible differences (i.e. extra/more powerful bits in and around the D300 engine) Steve N | 21MY Defender

Goodmorning everyone,
I ordered a Defender d200 which will arrive in June,
I inquired from this preparer to remap the ecu.
the technician told me that the d300 and d200 motors are the same in everything, only the d200 is electronically limited in power.
for this reason, for all diesel engines they reach a maximum power of 330 hp.

€ 5,30 for each extra hp.. That's a Steal
I foresee a great future for the D200 ( with 330 hp) No Mud flaps for my 90.!
