I asked BAS to help me on what tool to choose from but I did not receive their answer yet
I am looking to know if one of their tool can be used for both ; city tuning and EGR deactivation I look on their website and it seems that there are 2 different tools https://bellautoservices.co.uk/store/bas2-...tdci-city/ https://bellautoservices.co.uk/store/defen...-road-use/ Another question regarding the EGR : when you buy BAS EGR deactivation ; do you buy also the 2 blanking plates from them? I will appreciate all your comments and help cheers |

Not sure if this helps but you buy whatever level of tune you want, and then if you require a what they call a patch/ like an egr deactivation you pay for that and it will be added to the map you are running..
If you choose to have an egr patch added I think you still need to keep egr valve electrically connected.. But you shouldn't need blanking plates as the valve isn't operating.. That's my understanding.. Ibut I'm running the 2.2tdci and a dpf delete effectively deactivate the egr valve, but it's still connected electrically.. Give Peter a call.. He may appear a bit grumpy, but very helpful👍🤣 |
