floppy mirror fix
Hi,

Hope someone can help. I’m driving across Spain into France and my passenger mirror has decided to go floppy. Before I try to glue it has anyone got any other suggestions ? [/code]

I take it you've tried tightening the screw underneath? 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

If tightening the screw does not help, try removing the mirror and wrapping the ball joint in duck tape and refitting.

The method / bracket to secure the mirror is not the best!

I just cut a piece of plastic (can recycle from any plastic container) and placed it in the ball socket of the mirror. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Thanks, unfortunately the screw is totally rusted. So in the end I cut a bit out of a wine cork and taped it under the mirror. I did 500 miles yesterday (8hours) and the mirror didn’t move. I’ll buy a new one once I’m back home. Thanks for all the suggestions
